The March 29th event is located outdoors and is shine or rain. Tickets are not refundable due to weather.
What is included with my tickets for the event on October 18th?
Ticket holders will have access to all the wine, cider, craft brew, and cocktails their heart desires. Each ticket holder will receive a souvenir tasting glass and will be able to enjoy the live band. Food trucks will be onsite as an additional charge.
Can my kid come along too?
Kids under 18 yrs old are allowed to attend and do not require a ticket. Children must remain with their parents or guardian at all times.
Is the event dog friendly? Can I bring my dog to the main event on October 18th?
Yes, however, they must remain on a leash. Please do not allow your dog to drink out of the wine/beer spill buckets because the dog could become very ill.
What type of identifications are accepted?
Government-issued identification. Military ID, driver’s license, passport, or ID card. If you didn’t have to fill out a form and stand in line for it, we don’t accept it.
Will there be seating for the event on October 18th?
Yes, seating will be available throughout the festival.
When will tastings end during the event on October 18th?
15 minutes prior to the event’s end time.

VIP and Early Admission ticket holders: 1:00 – 6:00 PM
General Admission ticket holders: 2:00 – 6:00 PM
Can I purchase tickets at the entrance?
Yes, if the event doesn’t sell out before however it has sold out most years prior to the event date. Please note ticket prices online will be the exact same cost at the gate.
Can I bring any outside beverages?
No, however, you can bring food to the event on March 29th.
Parking during South End Wine and Hops Festival
There is very limited street parking (it is South End of course). We highly suggest using Lyft, Uber, or the light rail.

The Virginia Fly Fishing Festival is the largest event of its kind in the country and attracts fly anglers from across the United States and the Mid-Atlantic in particular. Nowhere else can anglers learn about the quiet sport in such a beginner-friendly environment. Our unique event combines fine wine tasting, microbrewery beer, and everything you ever wanted to know about fly fishing but were afraid to ask.
The mission of the Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival is to introduce as many people to the sport of fly fishing as possible, and to raise the level of awareness to the many pressing conservation issues facing Virginia. We do this believing that people, who are connected to the outdoors in their recreational activities, are more inclined to protect the natural resources they enjoy.
Bring your family, relax, take a casting class, and pick up a new sport that the entire family can enjoy. Several new classes for beginners for both adults and children have been added. We’ve also added a bourbon tasting class for adults.
The 25th Annual Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival will be held at The Meadow Events Park, just a few miles outside of Richmond, Virginia, on Friday January 9th and Saturday 10th, 2025.
The festival — the largest event of its kind in the country, drawing fly anglers from as far away as New York and Georgia — appeals to anglers of all ages and stages.
Festival attendees listen to lectures from various experts and practice hands-on skills at the two-day, family-friendly event. Several wineries from throughout the Old Dominion provide free wine tastings for those 21 and older.
The festival will be held regardless of the weather. All vendors are under roof and contained within the Farm Bureau Building at Meadow Event Park located approximately 2 miles east of Kings Dominion.
