I spent thirty years working on rivers and with endangered species. Now I build award-winning tables in Locust, NC. Most furniture is bought only to be replaced in a few years. Mine is built to be the anchor of your home and inherited by your grandchildren.

Be Part of the Build

Once your slab is chosen, you’re welcome to come by the shop and see your table take shape. If you’d like, you can pour the epoxy on your own table with me. It isn’t required. But when your grandchildren ask about the table, you can tell them you poured it.

Built to Be Inherited

The slab is chosen for the room, the base is engineered for the top, the finish is done by hand, and I deliver and install it myself.

From Rivers to Tables

I hold a PhD in environmental science. For thirty years I worked on the recovery of endangered species, rivers and wetlands, from the Hudson to the Mississippi Delta, and helped restore four thousand acres of forest, stream and wetland. In 2022 I moved to Locust, North Carolina, and started building.

Since then I’ve built over a hundred pieces, and in 2026 the work won the Consumer Choice Award at the Fly Fishing Show. My grandfather, a veteran and a furniture maker, left us a pipe chest that’s still in the family.

Four Steps

  1. Tell me about the room. Size, how you’ll use it, anything you’ve seen that you like. The form below takes two minutes.

  2. The session. In the shop or on video. We go through slabs, design and price.

  3. The build. Four to six weeks in the shop. Come see the progress, or pour the epoxy with me.

  4. The delivery. I bring it to your home and set it in place myself. Two slots remain for January or February delivery.

The Guarantee

Every piece carries my guarantee for the life of the table. If it ever warps, cracks, goes out of level, or the base fails, I will come and get it and repair it. If I can’t repair it, I’ll build you a new one. In all the tables I’ve built, I’ve never had to.
