Your Springboard to Inspiration
What a Year: Recapping 2025
With all this winter craziness, here’s to hoping Spring 2026 isn’t far away; although it doesn’t feel like the blossoms will be popping early this year! I built and delivered over 30 pieces last year from kitchen islands, indoor wall art pieces and coffee table sets to outdoor patio tables. Here are a few of the highlights of our 2025 projects intended to spark some inspiration for your 2026 redecorating plans.
The last project of 2025 was installed just a few days before Christmas for a client right here in Locust, NC. They found me at the ACS Home Show at the Park Expo Center in Charlotte last October. It didn’t take long to work out the details of the build, schedule their epoxy pour date, and hang it all up. These projects are a ton of fun and so customizable! This is a walnut/epoxy piece of wall art and a wine glass floating shelf, both are finished in a oil-based wax finish that doesn’t wear out, it wears in.
Client Testimonial
"I couldn’t be happier with the incredible work provided by Live Edge Exclusives. I commissioned a custom bar shelf and a piece of wall art, and both exceeded my expectations in every way.
The craftsmanship is truly second to none. You can tell that every curve and detail of the wood was handled with care, preserving the natural beauty of the live edge while ensuring a high-end, durable finish. The bar shelf is a total showstopper—solid, perfectly leveled, and a stunning focal point for the room. The wall art is equally impressive, acting as a unique conversation piece that adds so much character to my home…"Keith B.

Expanding Collections and Customizations
Many of you already know that I was a stream biologist in previous academic and professional roles. Well, that career choice was directly connected to an early exposure to fly fishing. Though I’m no longer studying or restoring streams, my love of fly fishing, fly tying and streams still run deep and I wanted to incorporate the knowledge and passion into a collection. I started small, testing and tinkering, as scientists do, and I’ve managed to hone the processes and techniques to incorporate fly fishing, fly tying and streams into some fun new, larger=scale pieces. I have even expanded the types of customizations I can do to include rendering real stream reaches into your custom piece, through the use of aerial imagery. I’ve also added full size tying desks to my repertoire which can include vice mounts, custom curated fly collections, stream renderings or just about anything else you can imagine. Below, I’ve included examples that are on display during the 2026 show season.
Special Offer
This quarter, any custom table order with a stream scene will receive a 20% discount and receive a fully guided fly fishing trip (1 person/full day or 2 person/half day) through the Maggie Valley Fly Shop in Maggie Valley, NC.
New Display Pieces for 2026
These tabletops are still in the shop curing and don’t even have legs on them yet. The photos on the left are original shop photos with the cluttered background removed. The photos on the right are simply renders of what they could look like in a home for some fun context. The first piece is spalted maple with red/copper epoxy tint. The second piece is walnut with ruby red epoxy tint, one of my personal favorites! To see these pieces in person jump over to my 2026 show schedule by simply clicking the “Events & Shows” button below.
Though it’s been a wintery start to 2026, the show halls are warm, usually have food & drink trucks and are full of happy people; especially after they leave the Live Edge Exclusives booth. If you find yourself close to one of the show venues or our studio in Locust, NC, stop in to say hello and have a look around. Check our schedule often, we add new shows frequently…I’m about to add three more.
All the best,
